Marilyn Henrion, who is represented in the Smithsonian Institution's Archives of American Art, creates works of fine art which are included in museum, corporate and private collections worldwide. Applying contemporary aesthetic sensibilities to traditional textile techniques, often combined with modern technology,  the artist celebrates that irregular and intimate quality of things made by the human hand. In doing so, she transforms the medium into a vehicle for sophisticated visual expressions with strong graphic impact.
